Bournemouth’s leading PR agency and its number one business podcaster are joining forces to help business leaders and entrepreneurs take their brands to the next level.

Sunny Bird PR and Alex Chisnall will host the Entrepreneur Summit 2019 at the Hilton Hotel in Bournemouth this October. The event boasts an impressive line-up of speakers all hand-picked to speak about how they reached millions of people or millions of pounds. Speakers include Dragon Dens’ Piers Linney, Apprentice finalist Camilla Ainsworth, Lush Co-founder Rowena Bird, Grenade Founders Alan and Juliet Barratt, Social Chain Founder Hannah Anderson, Change Please Founder Cemal Ezel and Timothy Armoo, Founder of Fanbytes.

Headlining the event is entrepreneur Piers Linney who has a professional background in law and investment banking and is a non-executive director of the UK government-owned development bank British Business Bank which has facilitated over £12 billion for small and medium size businesses.

He said: “I am looking forward to meeting the entrepreneurs and business leaders who will be joining us at the event and discussing those next steps to elevate their business. In recent years I have dedicated my career to helping start-ups and small business get off the ground by sharing my expertise and valuable lessons I have learnt along the way and this event encapsulates that perfectly.”

Rowena Bird, co-founder of Poole-headquartered Lush, will be kicking off the day’s line up discussing how she helped build a cosmetics company with an environmental conscience. Today Lush has 932 outlets worldwide and a recorded brand turnover of £995 million.

Next up is Timothy Armoo the 24-year-old founder andCEO Fanbytes – a Gen Z focused platform helping brands like McDonalds, Apple Music and the UK Government engage with young audiences on social media. Following on from Tim is Hannah Anderson, the Director of Social & Creative at Media Chain, one of the world’s most influential social media publishing houses.

The youngest ever finalist of the BBC series The Apprentice, Camilla Ainsworth, will also be speaking on the day about how  her experience on the show at just 22 spurred her on to launch her MYLKPLUS nut milk which is today stocked in over 645 Holland & Barrett stores nationwide.

Joining Piers for the afternoon slots will be Cemal Ezel, the Founder of Change Please, a social enterprise which trains people who are homeless to be employed baristas, and Alan and Juliet Barratt, the husband and wife team behind sports nutrition start-up Grenade. Alan and Juliet started their business back in 2009 with £27 in the bank and have grown it into an impressive £72 million enterprise sold in over 80 countries around the world.

Alan said: “Working with entrepreneurs and start-ups has always been a passion of ours because we were in that exact position ten years ago. We can’t wait to meet like-minded business people and share our journey”.

The one-day event also includes an audience Q&A session with an expert media panel from across the print, digital and social spectrum which will offer digestible and easy to follow advice.

The event will take place as part of the BOMO Festival which brings together a series of thought leadership conferences in technology and creativity alongside a rich mix of film, theatre, visual arts, literature and music events taking place in Bournemouth during September and October each year.
