Whoobid, an online property auction service, has seen rapid growth in their first 8 months with impressive national expansion, new team members and partner agent growth at a high.

Whoobid aims to make online property auctions a quicker, more affordable and more secure process for buyers and sellers across the UK. The company was founded by Doug and Alex Haigh; two brothers from Bournemouth, who with extensive experience in the property industry saw an opportunity to modernise the traditional auction process. They wanted to create a completely transparent and fair service that provides a personal approach to the auction process.

Whoobid uses an on-line auction platform that streamlines the auction process for the agent, seller and buyer. Whoobid allows estate agents across the UK to offer 0% fees for seller, this enables high street agents to compete successfully with the traditional auction houses and online agents.

Since September 2018, Whoobid have seen their monthly turnover grow significantly by the continued growth of their portfolio of partner agents. Currently working with around 150 partner agents, Whoobid plan to see this number double to over 300 in the next 6 months. This success has seen the rapid expansion of Whoobid’s team to 10 members. The team come from estate agency backgrounds with a breadth of industry knowledge and experience providing confidence and credibility in the property market.

The most recent additions to the Whoobid team include Kieran Hogan, Joanna Bradford and Deborah Latham who joined the company in April.

Kieran Hogan joins as a Regional Manager for London and has extensive experience working for a range of estate agents across the London area, including Sequence and Spicerhaart.

Kieran said:

“I’m excited to be joining the team at this time of growth and really believe in the service we offer. In this changing market I can see Whoobid taking the property market by storm with this unique platform for property auctions.”

Deborah Latham and Joanna Bradford join Whoobid to head up the Northern Division. Deborah joins as Head of Northern Auctions and brings a wealth of property experience; she was recently awarded the NAVA Auctioneer of the Year 2018. Joanna joins as Relationship Manager for the North and comes with over 20 years of property industry experience.

I’m excited to join the team and bring my extensive knowledge to ensure the growth and success of the company continues.”

Whoobid’s strategy is to further expand in 2019 with plans to break into new regional areas and further build their partner agent network. Their aim is to provide a complete national coverage that allows agents, sellers and buyers to successfully auction and sell their properties online.

Alex Haigh, Director of Whoobid, said:

“The success we have seen is testament to our team and the service we provide. We work hard to build relationships with our partner agents, ensuring we are on hand every step of the way to provide a complete package and this shows in the referrals, sales and on-going business we are seeing. We have a steady growth plan in place and we are excited to see where Whoobid will be in the next 6 months.”
