Dominic Monkhouse who scaled Peer 1 Hosting’s revenue to $200million, will discuss how to scale a technology business at Startup Grind Bournemouth on the 20th March.

Experienced tech entrepreneur and qualified business coach, Dominic Monkhouse, will speak to local entrepreneurs on the 20th March, discussing how to successfully scale a technology business, drawing on his extensive experience in the industry. The event will be hosted at the Media Lounge offices on Christchurch Road, Bournemouth and is the latest from StartUp Grind Bournemouth - an independent startup community which actively educates, inspires and connects local entrepreneurs.

Dominic’s career as a company director began in 1996, managing a sales team of 22 staff. His experience from this role led him to director-level roles at a number of technology businesses, including a five-and-a-half-year term as the managing director of Southampton-based Peer 1 Hosting. With Dominic at the helm, Peer 1 Hosting grew from a UK revenue of zero to £30million, and the global revenue grew from $90million to $200million. Stepping down from company director roles, Dominic now works as a scaling coach for a variety of businesses across the UK and hosts the Melting Pot podcast where he shares his secrets.

At Startup Grind Bournemouth, Dominic will be drawing on his experiences of scaling technology businesses and sharing his unique insights with the startups of Bournemouth in an informal fireside chat. With a focus on customer service and company culture, Dominic has identified three key areas that he will cover. These include the unique challenges to scaling up a technology business, the importance of company culture, and how to maintain agile throughout all of this.

Dominic Monkhouse said:

“Bournemouth is a hub of fantastic tech startups and I look forward to sharing my insights with them. Scaling a business isn’t an easy process and being a specialist coach in this area, I strive to help a wide variety of businesses grow and expand their business, not just in terms of staff and revenue, but company culture, too.”

Marcus Wincott, Director of Startup Grind Bournemouth, said:

“Dominic has a wealth of experience in taking businesses from startups to multi-million-pound organisations and we are certain his insight will be of huge value to those in attendance. This month’s Startup Grind Bournemouth is a great chance for local entrepreneurs to learn how to scale their own business.”
