Dorset Tourism Awards (DTA) organisers held their annual sponsors and winners’ lunch.  Hosting the event was the 2017 winner of the ‘Restaurant of the Year’ award, The Guildhall Tavern in Poole. Robin Barker, organiser of the DTA advised, “It’s wonderful to bring our sponsors and winners together to share our aspirations for excellence and local provenance.  Just this week we’ve achieved national newspaper coverage from our Dorset and regional awards, all of it helping raise Dorset’s profile and inspire excellence.”

DTA Headline Sponsors Saffery Champness Accountants were represented by Partner Nick Fernyhough who enthused, “Safferys have been involved with these awards from when they very first launched. We’ve watched them grow in status and seen the remarkable increase in the quality of entries over this period.  These awards truly reflect the gold standard of the tourism offering in Dorset.   It has also been really good to hear what a difference winning an award can make to a business.”

Guildhall Tavern owners, Frederic and Severine Seweryn said, “We’ve enjoyed delighting our lunch guests today with some fabulously fresh, local produce. It’s been a real pleasure to host today’s event.”
